Our solar water kiosk is made from low-cost composite materials. It purifies, stores, and dispenses clean affordable drinking water to users via coin or mobile payments.
Our kiosks, are ultra-low power and utilize solar energy, allowing them to be deployed easily with minimal infrastructure.
Our kiosk systems reduce the price of clean drinking water by over 50%. By encouraging a reusable bottle scheme our system reduces the burden of single-use plastic waste. Our low-power electronics and solar panel systems reduce energy usage and installation requirements, while our novel purification tools ensure consistent water quality

A Unique Product Stack
Modular Hardware Platform
Our kiosks are made from low-cost construction methods using composite materials. The systems can be made locally in a modular fashion, allowing for various payment options and purification tools to be integrated.
Digital Ecosystem
Our system includes a mobile app that allows users to pay for water digitally and collect loyalty rewards. In-built sensors in the kiosk also allow for performance monitoring of the unit and smart maintenance.
Novel Water Purification Toolkit
We have developed and integrated a range of purification tools perfectly suited to off-grid decentralized water treatment. The purification solutions can be used in a variety of combinations depending on the water source and application. All of our tools have been extensively tested in Tanzania using various water sources.
Photocatalytic Reactors
Through our own research and strategic collaborations we have developed a range of purification tools that utilize photocatalytic materials. These systems purify water by harnessing sunlight to drive a chemical reaction that purifies water.
Low Power UV
Through partnerships with Crystal IS we have integrated low-cost and ultra-low-power UV disinfection systems that use the latest in LED technology. These novel reactors can remove a host of bacteria and run from a solar panel.
Low-Pressure Filtration
We work with various innovative companies that develop low-pressure filtration. These systems are capable of removing chemicals, particles, and bacteria from water and don’t require high-pressure (and power) pumps.
